Biography:
Melissa Smith, B.S., is a Junior Research Associate at the Institute for Policy Research. Smith's main responsibility is Field Manager. As Field Manager, she is responsible for general management of the lab; as well as, quality control of data collection. She provides a productive work environment for student workers through training, positive feedback, and motivation. Through her direction, data is collected in a professional and expert manner. While working closely with the Project Managers, Smith ensures meeting each project's objectives, budgets, and timelines. Also Smith develops and maintains training programs and student worker project evaluations. Melissa Smith's other responsibilities include maintaining project files and mailing lists.

Melissa Smith holds a Bachelors of Science in Education from The Ohio State University. She joined the Institute of Policy Research in October 2005. She brings to the Institute of Policy Research 10 years of field management experience in qualitative and quantitative research.
