Biography:
Kimberly Downing, Ph.D. is a Senior Associate Director of the Institute for Policy Research at the University of Cincinnati and Affiliated Research Associate Professor, Department of Political Science at the University of Cincinnati.  Downing joined the IPR in 1995.  She has been conducting public opinion and survey research, working in both the public and private sectors, for over 20 years.  Downing works with governmental agencies, non-profit organizations and foundations using surveys and focus groups for understanding public opinion about policy issues and agency initiatives. She has directed and designed research projects that have incorporated a variety of research designs and methodologies.  Downing has been principal investigator on numerous research grants and has published and presented the results of her studies nationally.  Her research specialty is in the area of understanding public opinion about public policy issues.  Recently her research has focused on public opinion about organ donation and state policy changes affecting organ donation.  Downing received her doctorate in Political Science from Rutgers University.
