Eric Rademacher, Ph.D.
Biography:
Eric Rademacher is Senior Associate Director of the Institute for Policy Research. Rademacher joined the IPR in 1993. He also serves as Co-Director of The Ohio Poll. In his role as Co-Director (Public Polling) of the Ohio Poll, Rademacher regularly presents analyses of Ohio Poll results to Ohio's citizens, state policymakers and the state and national media.
Rademacher has directed and designed sample surveys incorporating a wide variety of research designs and methodologies. He has experience with a wide range of other research methodologies and qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques. Rademacher works with local governments and governmental agencies engaged in short-term and long-range planning, using a variety of survey research methods to assess community needs, performance (service) evaluations and voter evaluations of tax levies. He has also served as Project Director and Co-Director on a variety of health related studies, most recently The Greater Cincinnati Community Health Status Survey, a study of health status, health behaviors and health opinions in Greater Cincinnati (counties in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana).
Rademacher is also Affiliated Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science. He has taught courses and guest lectured for the University of Cincinnati College of Evening and Continuing Education and the Department of Political Science since 1993. Course topics included Public Opinion, American Elections, the U.S. Presidency and U.S. Congress. His research interests include Ohio politics, state and local policy, electoral politics, election survey methodology and partisanship. Rademacher holds a Doctorate in Political Science from the University of Cincinnati.
