The Greater Cincinnati Survey

The Greater Cincinnati Survey (GCS) is a semiannual survey of residents (age 18 and over) of metropolitan Cincinnati. The GCS is operated on a cost-shared basis and gives policymakers, researchers and not-for-profit organizations an opportunity to gather reliable data in a cost effective manner. The GCS has regularly surveyed Greater Cincinnati residents since 1978.

As an omnibus survey, the GCS consists of multiple sets of questions purchased by different clients for their proprietary use. The Greater Cincinnati Survey is conducted in the spring and fall of each year.

Each the GCS is based on City of Cincinnati telephone interviews with a randomly selected sample of approximately 1,000 adult residents of Hamilton County or 1,500 adult residents for the entire eight county Greater Cincinnati region.
